If you are wishing to get married in Oklahoma City, there are a few rules and guidelines that you should be aware of. When you get married in Oklahoma City you will need to go to the Oklahoma County's Court Clerk's office.

Age

Proof of age is required. (driver's license, birth certificate, passport, etc.) |
| 16-17 |
Parental consent of either parent or legal guardian and a birth certificate. |
| Under 16 |
Marriage is prohibited in Oklahoma for people under 16, except by court order. |
Recently divorced?
Persons divorced in Oklahoma may not marry anyone other than their previous spouse for a period of six months after the divorce decree is filed.
Residency
In Oklahoma there are no residency requirements.
Waiting period
In Oklahoma there are no waiting periods when obtaining a marriage license. However, those who are marrying under the age of 18 must wait 72 hours unless this time frame is waived by a judge with a written waiver and parent or guardian.
Fees
All license fees are due at the time when you are filing for a marriage license and are as follows:
- $50.00 for a marriage license
- $5.00 for a marriage license if you have completed premarital counseling
- $10.00 - if the ceremony is to be consummated by a judge
