Frontier Country marketing meeting to discuss tourism industry

Frontier Country Marketing Association will hold its monthly “Hour With an Expert” marketing meeting 10 a.m. May 21 at the Oklahoma History Center at 2401 N. Laird Avenue in Oklahoma City to discuss the state of tourism in Oklahoma.

Hardy Watkins, director of the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department, will be the guest speaker. Watkins will discuss the current state of the tourism industry in Oklahoma and hold a question and answer session with those in attendance.

“With the economy in the shape that it is currently in, this is a great opportunity for our membership to listen to the State Tourism Department’s forecast,” said Sherri Rogers, executive director of Frontier Country Marketing Association. “I believe that Director Watkins will ease our member’s minds when they hear what he has to say- especially about tourism this summer.”
